2025 Associate Class
Please join us in welcoming Favian Busnawi and Betame Debono to the investment team.
- Favian Busnawi joins us from Barclays, where he was an Investment Banking Analyst. He graduated from Bowdoin College with a B.S. in Economics and Government & Legal Studies.
- Betame Debono joins us from Citi, where he was an Investment Banking Analyst. He holds a B.B.A. in Finance from UMass Amherst.
2025 Analyst Class
We are also excited to welcome Daniel Liu and Max Martin.
- Daniel Liu joins us following graduation from MIT with a B.S. in Computer Science, Economics, and Data Science. He also recently completed a summer Associate internship at Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
- Max Martin joins us from Dartmouth College with a B.S. in Economics. He recently completed an investment banking internship at Citi and a fall/winter internship at Altor Equity Partners in Norway.
Promotion of Ami Feng to Senior Associate
We would also like to congratulate Ami Feng on her promotion to Senior Associate. Ami joined Sumeru in 2023 and has been actively involved across several investments including GoGuardian, beqom, and JobNimbus.
Growth Team & Firm Operations Updates
We are delighted to welcome Dorothy Lee to the Finance team as Assistant Controller. Dorothy was most recently a Senior Tax Manager at Spectrum Equity and holds an M.S. in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
We’re also pleased to welcome Gabriella Verdugo to the Firm Operations team as Receptionist at our San Mateo headquarters. Gabriella brings hospitality and administrative experience from her roles with the San Francisco 49ers and Chegg.
In addition, we would like to recognize the promotion of Sayra Vega to Executive Assistant. Sayra now supports Managing Partner Sanjeet Mitra in addition to Raymond Shen and Shari Tang. Since joining in 2022, Sayra has been instrumental in managing operations and facilities at our San Mateo headquarters.
